A pixel is short for picture element, which is the smallest element of the electronic display system. Pixels are points of light made up by a single LED and multiple LEDs. A pixel can be individually controlled. Putting pixels together can generate texts, graphics, animation and video, etc.

The color of a pixel can be adjusted by using a combination of red, green and blue (RGB) but other combinations such as cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK) are also possible.
